Nice Trust prepares for 2019 elections
National Initiative for Civic Education (Nice) Trust says it is all set to provide voter and civic education towards the forthcoming tripartite elections.

Nice executive director Ollen Mwalubunju said in an interview last week that Nice is set to work with Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) in providing voter and civic education, adding the trust started its preparations in 2014 following the successes of the first tripartite elections.
“Nice is all prepared to contribute towards the forthcoming elections so that people should cast their votes in their large numbers,” said Mwalubunju.
He said Nice Trust also created good collaboration with research institutions which help in conducting research projects focusing on the effectiveness and areas to be improved on before the elections.
In his remarks, Nice Trust national programmes manager Gray Kalindekafe said 5 006 election monitors will be stationed in each of the polling stations across the country. n
